It’s an angler’s dream come true.
The Oldest Bass Fishing Tournament on the West Coast
ADULTS: $50 to Enter. Fishing for Striped Bass
Each participating angler must purchase a ticket. Each adult angler must be 16 years or older. Hats are limited to the first 300 – first come, first served.
KIDS: $10 to Enter. Fishing for Striped Bass & Catfish
Each angler must be 15 years of age or younger and can weigh-in Striped Bass or Catfish. The first 50 ticket holders are eligible to receive a “Kids” Derby Hat.
Fishing Tournament Awards & Prizes
This year, we have an amazing winner’s purse for all fishing tournament participants.
Awards:
Awards will be presented at 4:00 pm on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the foot of Main Street, downtown Rio Vista. All winners must be present to receive their prizes.
Winners must be present to win and are responsible for all state and federal taxes and registration, if applicable. The Rio Vista Bass Derby reserves the right to substitute prizes, if necessary; and additional prizes may be available based on donations.

Anglers have even more ways to win this year. Under the updated rules, Adult participantscan submit one Striped Bass per day within the targeted slot length to earn an entry into the
The grand raffle drawing will take place on Sunday, October 4th, shortly after 4:00 PM directly in front of Rio Vista City Hall. Prizes include premium fishing tackle and other high-quality gear. Per tournament regulations, participants must be present to win.
Additional tackle prizes may be added as local sponsorships and donations continue to roll in.

Additional prizes will be based on donations from our sponsors and supporters. We want to encourage the younger generation to learn to fish.
