Grab your poles and come on over on October 10, 11 & 12. Three contests to choose from plus the Kids Derby!

FISHING DERBY

Its a fisherman's dream come true. The oldest fishing derby on the West Coast will once again be highlighted at the Rio Vista Bass Festival. This year, anglers will be able to choose between two fishing contests on the same ticket.

Striped bass - Our biggest derby is still the striped bass with the winner bringing in the bass closest to the target length*. The striped bass first place prize is $2000, 2nd place $1000 and 3rd $500.

Sturgeon - So no one is left out, we are including Sturgeon to our Derby list in 2008. The angler bringing in the sturgeon closest to the target length* will win $1,000, 2nd $500 and 3rd $250.

Kids Derby This is a family event and we welcome young anglers, up to but not including 16 years of age.  Kids will be fishing for catfish and striped bass.

*Target Length will be drawn at the start of the Derby for both Striped Bass and Sturgeon.

Come out and visit us for a great family fun-filled weekend. Admission is free for the Bass Festival.

Rio Vista is located in the heart of the Delta on the beautiful Sacramento River on Highway 12, just 48 miles southwest of Sacramento, 65 miles northeast of San Francisco and just 30 miles west of Stockton.
